Culture Night Tonight

A little reminder to all that tonight is culture night, there is lots to do in Dublin and for tonight most of it is free.

For more details check out this website-

Aviva Stadium

Last night I went on a trip to the Aviva Stadium. It was great to see the new Stadium, it is fantastic. I had a look around the players dressing rooms, you wouldnt believe the luxury- plunge pools, practice pitches & they even have a surgeon onsite with their own theatre during the big matches- theres also a dentists chair where players can be seen to straight away. Not forgetting of course the large plasma screen in the medical area so that noone misses the match. It will of course be a different scene there tonight when Aviva hosts the first concert Micheal Buble- hopefully for all those attending the weather stays fine and everyone has a good night..

Dublin- An Emerging City

I had the fortune last week to be invited for the opening of the Dublin Convention Centre.

Its impressive and innovative architecture captures attention as soon as Spencer Dock comes into view. Inside the Convention Centre is full of all the modern facilities and equipment that could possibly be required for a modern day conference. Most impressive is the 2000 seater auditorium & the fact that the convention centre is carbon nuetral and sustainable- a plus for any conference organiser. Lunch was a delight- hard to imagine that the centre can cater for so many people with no fuss or problem.

The Convention Centre is a credit to all those who have worked on it in the past years, hopefully it will encourage more international conferences in Dublin, with bookings well on the way The Ardmore Hotel wish all involved the best of luck!!!
